A downflow booth (Commonly called a Dispensing booth, when used for dispensing) is a piece of equipment usually a few metres squared in size that produces an area under top-down UDAF. A downflow booth is typically in a Manufacturing process, for a couple of purposes
- Protect the product when vessels (Or any Sanitary container) are opened
- Protect the operator from ingesting harmful particles such as Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient during addition.
As downflow booths are commonly used for handling powders, it is a common requirement for these to be ATEX rated.
