A Critical Material Attribute (CMA), is an attribute of raw material supplied to a pharmaceutical Manufacturing process that effects the quality of product produced, for example pH of supplied Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient. CMA’s must be monitored through Continuous Process Verification to detect anomalies/trends.
